Cayman Islands Humane Society Lucky Paws Raffle Terms and Conditions: 

1. Ticket Sales and Prizes: This raffle is conducted by and in benefit of the Cayman Islands Humane Society “CIHS”. The raffle tickets are priced at CI$25 each or 5 tickets for CI$100. There will not be a limit on the number of tickets sold. 

The prizes offered in this raffle are as follows (each a “Prize” and collectively “Prizes”):  

1. First (Grand) Prize: CI$25,000 
2. Second Prize: valued at CI$1,000 
3. Third Prize: valued at CI$500 

There will also be a prize valued at $250 for the person who sells the Grand Prize-winning ticket.

Single tickets can be purchased online at https://1df364.myshopify.com/products/lucky-paws-raffle-x-1-ticket-25 or groups of 5 tickets at https://1df364.myshopify.com/products/lucky-paws-raffle-x-5-tickets-100  well as from individual volunteers and at pop up sales locations prior to the close of ticket sales. 
2. Ticket Sales will close at 12:00pm (noon) on June 14, 2025. 
3. Draw Date – the winning tickets will be drawn on June 15, 2025. Participants do not have to be present to win. 

2. Eligibility: Raffle tickets may only be purchased by people aged 18 or over. The Shelter Operations Manager and the members of the Board of Directors of CIHS are not eligible to purchase tickets. 

3. Winner Selection: The winners of the Prizes will be selected through an electronic and random drawing. The winners will be notified within 14 days of the drawing, to the phone and/or email provided by the individual at the time of purchase. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within the 14-day period or fails to respond to the notification, they will forfeit the Prize, and the CIHS will select an alternate winner by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries. If on the Draw Date fewer than 2,000 have been sold, then the Grand Prize may, in the discretion of the CIHS, be reduced proportionally, (e.g. if 1,000 tickets are sold, the prize may be reduced to CI$12,500).  

4. Verification and Prize Claim: Potential winners are subject to verification by the CIHS. The CIHS reserves the right to verify the eligibility and identity of any potential winner before awarding the prize. Winners must present a valid Government-issued photo ID when requested to prove their eligibility and claim the prize. Failure to provide satisfactory proof of eligibility (in the sole determination of the CIHS) may result in disqualification, and CIHS will select an alternate winner as per the process outlined in section 3. Prizes must be claimed within 45 days of the draw date, or the prize will be forfeited, and the winner will have no claim against the CIHS for the prize. 

5. Publicity and Data Processing: By participating in the raffle, the entrants agree to allow the CIHS to use their names, likeness, picture, and general location for promotional and marketing purposes with their permission, without any additional compensation. The CIHS will process all personal data provided by entrants in accordance with the Data Protection Act. By purchasing a ticket, the winners agree to take part in reasonable post event publicity, and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.    

6. Modification or Cancellation: CIHS reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the raffle at its discretion without prior notice. In such cases, ticket holders will be eligible to apply for a refund of the ticket price. 

7. Release of Liability: By participating in the raffle, all entrants release the CIHS and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability or claims arising from the raffle or the prizes awarded. 

8. Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands. 

9. Agreement to Terms: By purchasing a raffle ticket and participating in the raffle, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

The Cayman Islands Humane Society reserves the right to interpret and apply these terms and conditions at its sole discretion. If any provisions of these terms and conditions are found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
